The NURE-ONNA takes its name from a mythical creature in Japanese folklore known as "Nure-Onna." In Japanese, "Nure" means wet or damp, and "Onna" means woman. The Nure-Onna is depicted as a creature that appears near bodies of water, usually with the appearance of a beautiful woman, but with some reptilian features like a snake-like lower body and a long serpentine tail. She is often portrayed as a harbinger of misfortune or death.
